Historical earth, first Christian kingdom of the Iberian Peninsula, that shows the title of Principality from century XIV and conserves to the present time, turning to the heir of Spanish Corona in Prince of Asturias. Also in this zone of Asturias it is possible to be visited the Real Site of Covadonga, distant few kilometers of Cangas de Onís, where each 8 of September, the Asturian ones venerate their pattern, “the Santina”. With respect to its gastronomy, one stands out between its many traditional creations, by its fame, the Fabada done with fabes, great and cremosas string beans, blood sausage, garlic sausage and lacón. The drink par excellence is the cider, elaborated from the apple; everything an art and a tradition that partly they define to this earth. Also, in so small territory is an exceptional traditional cheese range, the most known the one Cabrales, delicious blue cheese, that heads one long and varied ready one of recommendations for gourmet.
